How to embed podcasts on your Squarespace site with RadioPublic

You’ve got something to say about podcasts and you want your readers to hear the shows for themselves. RadioPublic’s user-friendly embed player has you covered. Just look at (or better yet, listen to) this beauty:

OK, great — but how do you get these show and episode embeds into your Squarespace site? It’s a pretty straightforward copy-and-paste job, but if you’ve never added raw HTML code into Squarespace before, here are the step-by-step instructions:

Psst… want to embed podcasts on a different platform? Here are the instructions for Medium, WordPress, and all other publishing platforms.

1 First, if you haven’t already done so, get the embed player code for the show or episode you want to add to your post.

The embed code will look like this.

2 Next, while you’re in Edit mode in Squarespace, click to insert a block and select the Embed block from the “basic” menu.

The Embed block is the one you want.

3 Once the Embed dialog appears, click on the </> icon.

Clicking on the </> switches you into the code view.

4 A window labelled “Embed Data” should appear. Paste the embed player code here, then click “Set.”

Before pasting…

…and after!

5 Click “Apply” on the Embed dialog, if it’s still floating around, and the podcast player should appear in your page.

6 Once you’re finished editing your page, click “Save,” and you’re good to go.

That’s it! You’re now a podcast embedding wizard. Pretty sure I can hear your readers applauding from here.
